What Do I Need?

To trade online with LPL Financial’s Internet Discount Brokerage through The Middlefield Banking Company, all you need is:

1. A Middlefield Banking Company Checking or Money Market Account.
   • To open a Middlefield Bank Checking account,
     click here
   • To open a Middlefield Bank Money Market account,
     click here
      
2. Open an Internet Discount Brokerage Account,
   click here and select "Open Account."
    
3. The correct browser and security encryption for your computer. LPL Financial’s Internet Discount Brokerage supports Netscape© Navigator browsers versions 3.0 and higher or Microsoft© Internet Explorer versions 3.0 and higher. Note! Internet Brokerage does NOT support AOL's browser at this time since AOL's browser is a proprietary browsing system. Internet Brokerage, also, does not support Netscape 3.0 GOLD. (This version of Netscape is used by developers and is not meant for use by the public.)
