Introducing Enhanced Online Security from The Middlefield Banking Company.

Internet Banking is more Secure than Ever.

The Middlefield Banking Company is proud to deliver the highest level of security for our Internet Banking customers. An additional layer of security is being added to our log in process. This will help ensure that your information is secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.

How it works - Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two-ways. Every time you log in to EasyLink Online Banking, the bank identifies you, and it lets you identify the bank using a private image and pass phrase.

Enablement screen – To enroll for Enhanced Online Security, follow these steps.

  1. Log in by entering your current Access ID.
  2. Click SUBMIT.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Click SUBMIT.
  5. Complete the Enrollment form.
    1. Provide a current e-mail address (if needed).
    2. Enter a pass phrase for the randomly selected authentication image.
    3. Provide answers for 3 challenge questions.
    4. Select whether you are logging in with your personal computer, or a public computer. Only register personal computers that you frequently use and are not available for public use.
  6. Click SUBMIT.

That’s it. The next time you log in, Enhanced Online Security will recognize you and display your private image & pass phrase.

Log in with Enhanced Online Security

Log InOnce you have enrolled for Enhanced Online Security, follow these steps to log in.

  1. Log in using your current Access ID.
  2. Click SUBMIT.
  3. Your authentication image & pass phrase are displayed.
  4. If they match your private image and pass phrase, then enter your password. If the authentication image and pass phrase do not match, do not enter your password. Start over, or contact The Middlefield Banking Company at 440.632.1666 for assistance.
  5. Click SUBMIT.

That’s it. You are now securely logged in to Internet Banking.

Log in from other locations

When logging in from other locations, you will be asked one or all of your challenge questions and if the computer you are currently on is a public or private computer. Answer the challenge questions, select whether the computer is private/public and click SUBMIT. If answered correctly you will then be shown your authentication image and pass phrase. If they are correct then enter your password and click SUBMIT.

Change your Image & Pass Phrase

Over 10,000 images for you to choose from. To select the one that's right for you, just follow these steps.

  1. Log in by entering your regular Access ID.
  2. Your authentication image & pass phrase are displayed.
  3. If the authentication image and pass phrase are correct, enter your password.
  4. Click SIGN IN.
  5. Once logged in, Select Options from the main menu.
  6. Select Change Security Data.
  7. Select an image from the library.
  8. Enter a pass phrase for the image.
  9. Click SUBMIT.

That’s it. The next time you log in, your new authentication image and pass phrase will be displayed.
